After months of planning, preparation, and hard work, we’re excited to finally share the finished results of our 90th anniversary bathroom remodel giveaway!
Earlier this year, we partnered with QMix 107.3 and MOJO 102.9 to give away a bathroom remodel in celebration of Lohmeyer Plumbing’s 90th year in business. Since 1936, our family has been serving the Columbus community, and we wanted to do something special to celebrate this milestone and give back to the community that has supported us for so many years.
Now, we’re excited to show you how it all came together!
Starting from Scratch
This bathroom needed more than just a few cosmetic updates. Our crew started by removing the existing bathtub, toilet, vanity, and storage to make room for an entirely new bathroom.
Once demolition was underway, we got to work on some of the less glamorous but equally important parts of the remodel.
After removing portions of the concrete floor, we replaced the old drain lines with new PVC piping. We also installed new water lines for the shower, vanity, and toilet, updated vent piping, and added plumbing for a washing machine drain.
It’s the kind of work you won’t see in the finished pictures, but it’s an important part of making sure a beautiful new bathroom functions just as well as it looks.
Bringing the New Bathroom to Life
With the plumbing work completed, the bathroom gradually started coming back together.
New drywall went up, the shower began taking shape, and the finishes started transforming the space. What had been a room full of exposed framing, pipes, and concrete was finally beginning to look like a bathroom again!
One of the most exciting parts of any remodel is watching all the individual pieces come together, from the tile and cabinetry to the faucets and fixtures.
The Finished Transformation
And now for the best part: the finished bathroom!
The new bathroom features a beautiful walk-in shower with charcoal gray tile, decorative built-in niches, and a glass partition that keeps the space feeling open. A spacious gray vanity with matching storage cabinetry, white countertops, matte black fixtures, and updated lighting complete the transformation.
It’s a dramatic change from where we started, and we’re proud of the work our team put into making it happen!
More Than Just Plumbing
While many people know Lohmeyer Plumbing for plumbing repairs, water heaters, and drain cleaning, complete bathroom remodeling is another service we’re proud to offer.
From the initial planning and demolition to plumbing, construction, and final fixture installation, we help coordinate the many moving parts that go into a bathroom renovation.
Our goal is to make the remodeling process easier for homeowners while creating a space they’ll enjoy for years to come.
Thank You for Celebrating 90 Years With Us!
A special thank-you to QMix 107.3 and MOJO 102.9 for partnering with us on this giveaway, to our crew and everyone involved in bringing the project together, and to our customers and community for supporting Lohmeyer Plumbing for 90 years.
We’re proud to be a fourth-generation, family-owned business, and we look forward to serving the Columbus area for many more years to come.
