Joe Lohmeyer’s Retirement

After 47 years at Lohmeyer Plumbing, Joe Lohmeyer is announcing his retirement.  Joe's commitment to building strong relationships with customers, employees, vendors, and community members has been instrumental to his success.  He has consistently demonstrated an unwavering dedication to doing the right thing.  His vast knowledge and skills in plumbing and business management have not only made Lohmeyer Plumbing thrive, but have also inspired those around him to strive for excellence.

Joe's leadership qualities have been a great inspiration as well.  He has exemplified what it means to be a true leader, always ready to lend a helping hand, and offer guidance when needed.  His ability to balance the demands of the business with a genuine care for others has made him irreplaceable.

These leadership skills have trained the next generation of Lohmeyer Plumbing well.  Joe has confidence leaving Lohmeyer customers in the capable hands of brother in law, David Dietrich, daughter and 4th generation family member, Betsy Elwert, as well as the team of plumbers you've come to know and trust, many who have been with the company for 20+ years.

In addition to his contributions at Lohmeyer Plumbing, Joe has been a valued member of the Columbus community.  He has volunteered countless hours at St Peter's Lutheran Church, Southwest Water Board, and most recently the tower renovation project at First Christian Church.  His involvement in community initiatives has been truly commendable.  In his retirement, one of Joe's plans is to continue to serve the community by offering the business wisdom and skills he's learned throughout the years.

One of Joe's most endearing qualities is his light-hearted personality.  He has the remarkable ability to bring humor and positivity to any situation, making the workplace a joy for everyone around him.  His good-natured spirit will be missed.

As Joe embarks on this new chapter of his life, we wish him all the happiness, excellent golf rounds, and relaxation that retirement can bring.  Although his presence in the office will be missed, we know that his legacy will continue to inspire us all.

Please join us in congratulating Joe Lohmeyer on his well-deserved retirement.  We will be hosting a retirement celebration in his honor on November 29th from 4-7pm at Lohmeyer Plumbing.  The Mayor will make a special proclamation at 5:30pm.  Swine & Dine Events will be providing appetizers.  We hope you can join us to celebrate his remarkable career.
