Gas Line Repair & Replacement

Gas lines have been installed over the years using black iron pipe, galvanized pipe, soft copper, tin lined copper, specially formulated plastic pipe, and flexible metal conduit pipe.

Depending on code requirements, natural gas, LP gas, and the gas provider, differing materials and joining methods are approved or not approved.  Because of the variety of materials, code requirements, and the inherent dangers of working with gas, we recommend only professionals install gas piping.

Most licensed plumbers (including Lohmeyer Plumbing) and competently trained HVAC technicians have the knowledge and certifications to work on many of these differing gas piping systems.
